Aluminium Sliding Patio Doors
Engineered for strength, stability, performance and aesthetics, these wide opening aluminium sliding doors let you enjoy the best views and, with our strong yet slim frame design, the light floods in too.
With a higher glass to frame ratio than bifold doors, our aluminium sliding doors are ideal for smaller, more limited spaces where bifolds may not be a practical option. or if you want to maximise your views without any visual interruption.

Bifold Doors or Sliding Doors - Which to Choose?
Great appearance and advanced performance mean inevitable demand for a modern and sophisticated door system full of benefits. Both our bifolding and sliding door systems have superb aesthetics and excellent performance. So which one should you go for?
- Bifold doors can open up about 90% of the aperture, really opening up the room to the garden. Sliding doors by comparison will typically open up between 50% and 65% of the aperture.
- For ventilation purposes, the sliding door offers the most flexible solution with the ability to open the door just as far as necessary to make the room comfortable. The bifold door’s flexibility will depend on its design, but often opening a door leaf is the minimum you can do to let some fresh air in.
- If having an uninterrupted view is important, then a sliding door may be a better option. Door panels with large panes of glass give more of a panoramic view than a bifold door that has several narrower door panels, each with a frame around them.
- With the bifold door, you can choose to have all the door panels stacking to the left or the right, or you can choose to split them equally so some stack each side, with central French doors. When making these decisions, it is worth remembering that the doors require some clear space around them in order to open, and you don’t want to be moving furniture or plant pots every time you open the doors.
- The number of door panels will usually be dictated by the size of the opening, but it is worth considering the benefits of choosing a design with a single access “traffic” door. Found on designs with an odd number of door panels, the traffic door is a single door that can be opened without unlocking the rest of the door panels. Operating just like a normal back door, this is convenient for when you just want to nip out into the garden quickly.

Had to get French doors replaced at my mother in law’s after a break in - asked Ruislip Windows & Doors for a quote after we were impressed with other works they had completed for us. Once again they didn’t disappoint - Tom (their fitter) did a superb job. The new doors match the old ones & look fantastic. The securely system is also a lot better. A very good Company to work with. They respond rapidly to requests; their people are professional, polite and clearly very competent. Their products are of excellent quality; well-designed and at decent prices. From intial contact to delivery and fitting was rapid. Their fitters/tradesmen were on time (early--- very early, in fact) and in doing what is quite a messy job they protected all flooring and furniture during the fitting process and left the place very clean and tidy. We were delighted with the final result. (fitting bifold balcony doors). All round, quality products, quality service, quality fitting and qualitypeople at a good price. Would definitely use them again.

They offer top quality, multipoint locking windows and doors. Their prices are good and we were invited to their showroom to view the various options. We had Fernando and Casio to fit them and they did a superb job, worked long days and the finish was so neat there was no need for redecoration. Very happy.

I have not had a chance to visit the property however my tenants are impressed by low sound levels and warmth. I asked the tenants to send me the photos of the new windows are installed. I am very happy with the service we received when me and my daughter visited their showroom/offices in watford. The service was excellent from start to finish. We needed our landing window replaced and Ruislip Windows did a splendid job. The leaded lights were copied and look like the originals. The chap fitting it was polite and caring and left the sight all clean and tidy.

We contacted Ruislip Windows and Doors to get a quote for replacing a few windows. They were very responsive and sent someone around to look at what we needed. The salesman was really helpful and knowledgeable. He didn't try to pressure us into anything which we greatly appreciated. Overall a great experience, would definitely recommend!

We contacted Ruislip Windows about replacing our porch and was pleased to find they could fit new front, side panels and trim and use the original roof and frame. The whole process from Mark visiting to discuss what needed doing to Rob and Ryan fitting the new parts was excellent, all old parts were removed same day and everything was kept clean and tidy. Rob's eye for the finishing details was second to none.
We have used Ruislip Windows before and would recommend them to anyone that asked.

The surveyor was very helpful when he came to measure up and advised us on the types of installations available and when we could expect the installation of our doors and windows.
We received a text, within the period advised by the surveyor, asking us when would be a convenient time for the installation.
On the day of the installation the first fitter arrived early in the morning and started removing the old windows and doors. Soon after a second van arrived with the replacement doors and windows and installation commenced. The men worked non stop and completed mid-afternoon. The surrounds of doors and windows were repaired where necessary. The old fittings were removed and all the rubbish swept up and cleared away.
We were shown how the locks and the internal blinds worked.
Overall we are very satisfied with the new doors and windows and the workmanship of the fitters. We would certainly recommend Ruislip Windows and Doors Ltd to anyone.
